Back in 27 AIZ, 4 warriors, Tasha the Teifling Paladin, Wallard the Elf Bard, Dave the Human Ranger, and Popopo the Orc Barbarian defeated the "Master Beholder" using the legendary Stone Rod, created by the gods during the creation of the world. Only one hero, Tasha, was remembered for he good deeds. The beholder was encased in stone, the only way to free it being a powerful spell. 100 years later, Tasha, an old woman now, ran through the entire Spanlos Empire, looking for someone who could help her. Eventually, she stumbled upon a Dwarf known only as "CJP". She was in need of help fighing the hoard of monsters coming from Beholder Rock. After making their way through the onslaught, they had finally made it to Beholder Rock, they found Wallard standing there. He was upset that noone remembered him, so he used a spell and unleashed the "Master Beholder." It imediatly bit his head off. CJP tried to help Tasha, but she told him to run! Afterwards, the legendary Tasha was killed by a death ray from the beholder.
CJP ran, but was hit by an arrow from a goblin. He hid out in the plains for a while, but when the Beholder spread carnage across the world, he started gaining more experiene to save Zandon from the "Master Beholder." He heard of the legend of the Stone Rod from a dying Tasha. He went to Spanlos to help fight off a hoard of zombies with a Gladiator named Sigwulf and a mage named Ara. Afterwards, they headed to Zula to rest. However, the rest wouldn't last long as the Master Beholder found its way there. Sigwulf sacrificed himself to allow the people to escape. They headed to the dwarven mountains and snuck the Stone Rod from a Young Red Dragon with the help of a druid named Eddy. As they were heading out, they found a Mind Flayer was trying to kill the dragon, so they fought him. With the dragon safe, they could get to the Master Beholder's lair. The beholder instantly killed CJP's friends. CJP then threw 7 tridents at the Master Beholder. After a hard fought battle, CJP used the Stone Rod to encase the beholder in stone. However, the Stone Rod had only one charge left...
